Looking to grow its sales to 200,000 units a year, German sports car manufacturer Porsche will debut as many as four all-new models in the coming years.

First on the list are obvious vehicles like the 918 Spyder production model, set to debut tomorrow at the Frankfurt Motor Show, as well as the Macan compact SUV, which will be shown at the Los Angeles Auto Show in late November. Beyond that is where the guesswork, and the excitement, take over.

First on the list of possibilities is the long-rumored baby Boxster. Reportedly axed, it could be revived if sales of the Macan prove to be as lucrative as expected. Still, with the project now on ice, don’t look for a more affordable Porsche sports car until at least 2017.

Next comes a smaller sedan, code named the Pajun. Designed to compete against the Mercedes E-Class and BMW 5 Series, the success of the Panamera would seem to indicate this is a no-brainer. Still, there are worries within the company that yet another 4-door could dilute the brand’s sports car image. It’s not yet clear if styling would take inspiration from the Sport Turismo Concept (above), which is set to inspire the next-generation Panamera.

A third and more exciting option is what has been dubbed the 960, or FeFi – a code name that refers to Ferrari Fighter. This mid-engine exotic would cost in the mid-$200,000 range and could make use of a new 3.9-liter boxer 8-cylinder engine with four-turbochargers to deliver as much as 650 hp. Directly targeting cars like the Ferrari 458 Italia, it’s creation seems like a foregone conclusions as Porsche has long been in need of a vehicle above the 911.

Finally, rumors continue to persist of a Panamera-based coupe, utilizing the same powertrains as the popular sedan, though likely only the higher-end options with pricing to match. Designed more as a grand tourer, if the Panamera is any indication, performance will not be lacking.
